White!

A couple of meet-up sites had a challenge today and the topic was White!  So here were my entries.  I'm glad to have recently been traveling over Thanksgiving week and detoured to White Sands, New Mexico.  Here are a few efforts:

There is some (but very little) vegetation in the dunes of Whites Sands.
It is Alkaline, very fine and got into everything.

The day that I was there, it was not too difficult to find dunes
that had not been walked on.  The contrast between the dunes and
mountains behind was almost breath-taking.

This was descending from Lincoln Natl Park into
Alamogordo, NM.  Between the two mountain ranges is
the city of Alamogordo and the White Sands Natl Park.
