So, also in Bush Park, Saundra and I were able to photograph the flooding. Bush Park has a lot of different "interest" centers....ball parks, soccer fields, model plane airport, shooting range, dog park, bicycle trails. But it's primary function is flood control so that Buffalo Bayou doesn't flood. It's been a long time since it's been put to major use as flood control. But when it has to, it does it's job and it does it well. The day after these photos were taken the opportunity had disappeared....literally.

Even though the major rains had passed, we
were still getting beautiful cloud formations. |
|
I don't think Boomer or Lola would like going to the
dog park this day. They would have enjoyed the clouds. |
|
This was taken from a main road that
I had to walk in the water on the road. |
|
After taking the birds in late afternoon, we came back
to photograph the sunset around the gun range. |
|
The end to a great evening of photography! |
