Miksang - The Beginning

At one of the photowalker meetups, I ran into a woman that was taking a miksang class and I was interested in finding out more about it.  Usually a Miksang class is crammed into a 2 day weekend.  But there is a teacher here in Houston that is teaching the class over a 4 week period of time.  I talked Saundra into taking the class with me, and with 3 other people, Pia, Joann, and Alfred, we embarked on one of the more "focused" classes I have ever taken.  For those that don't know, Miksang means "good eye".  Now, seeing these pictures shouldn't be a substitute for taking the class, because it's a lot more than "the topic of the day".  So my journey started the night of June 4th.  You will see other posts in between the 4 week class posts.  The miksang class posts will just list the topic of that class.  No post-processing allowed, not even cropping.  I hope you see the difference in my photos going forward.
